Job seekers, and those interested in advancing at their current place of
employment, are invited to attend a Career Fair at Project Self-Sufficiency,
Thursday, October 18th, 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. Area employers and educational institutions
will be on site to promote job openings and educational opportunities. Workshops about resume-writing, networking
and interview skills will be held throughout the day. Attendees will be entered to win a $100 Shop
Rite gift card. The Career Fair is free
and open to the public; no registration is required. Project Self-Sufficiency is located at 127
Mill Street, Newton.
“Project Self-Sufficiency’s Career Fair allows job seekers to get
immediate feedback on their resume and interview skills, in addition to
learning about job openings and options for furthering their education,” noted
Project Self-Sufficiency Executive Director Deborah Berry-Toon. “Attendees can learn new skills and gain the
confidence they need to pursue a successful job search.”

in northwestern New Jersey for more than 30 years. The agency’s mission is to provide a broad
spectrum of holistic, respectful, and comprehensive services enabling
low-income single parents, teen parents, two-parent families, and displaced
homemakers to improve their lives and the lives of their children through the
achievement of personal and economic self-sufficiency and family
