Free Financial Literacy Workshops for Women

  Project Self-Sufficiency will host a series of free financial literacy workshops for women featuring guest speaker Suzanne Troiano in October and November.   In person sessions will be held Tuesdays, October 17 th and November 14 th , 1:00 p.m. at Project Self-Sufficiency. A virtual workshop will be offered Wednesday, November 1 st , 6:00 p.m.   Participants will learn how to make and save money, reduce debt, set up estate plans, and understand life insurance, college and retirement plans. Troiano, Regional Vice President at Primeria Financial Services has more than 20 years of experience teaching financial literacy and helping clients to make informed decisions about managing their money. Discuss Strategies for Taking Charge of Your Finances

Rutgers professor and financial expert Dr. Barbara O’Neill will offer free Financial Workshops at Project Self-Sufficiency, Thursday, April 11 th , 1:00 p.m., and Tuesday, April 23 rd , 6:00 p.m.   Participants will learn how to plan and execute financial goals, discuss savings plans, checking accounts, college planning and other topics.   The seminars are free and open to the public, but registration is required.   Project Self-Sufficiency is located at 127 Mill Street in Newton. Dr. Barbara O'Neill holds the rank of Distinguished Professor in the School of Environmental and Biological Sciences, Rutgers University, and is Rutgers Cooperative Extension's Extension Specialist in Financial Resource Management.
