Child Care Food Program Offered at Little Sprouts

  Little Sprouts Early Learning Center announces the sponsorship of the federally-funded Child Care Food Program which reimburses sponsoring agencies that provide healthy meals and snacks at no charge to children enrolled in licensed or approved daycare facilities.   Meals are available at no separate charge to all enrolled participants in the Child Care Food Program and are served without regard to race, color, national origin, age, sex, or disability.   The Child and Adult Care Food Program is a federal program of the Food and Nutrition Service, United States Department of Agriculture (USDA).   For more information visit the center’s website, www.littlesproutsearlylearningcenter.org or call 973-940-3540.

Project Self-Suficiency's Food Pantry Receives Grant

Project Self-Sufficiency recently received a grant in support of the agency’s food distribution program, The Food Pantry: Nourishing Our Neighbors, from the ACME Foundation Nourishing Neighbors program.   The food pantry at Project Self-Sufficiency offers free food and limited personal care products to Sussex and Warren County residents, Monday – Friday, 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.     Patrons need not be agency participants.   Funding from the Acme Foundation Nourishing Neighbors program is specifically allocated for emergency food distribution related to the COVID-19 crisis. Project Self-Sufficiency is welcoming monetary donations to purchase food, as well as the donation of non-perishable items such as canned soups and stews; canned fruits and vegetables; fresh seasonal fruits and vegetables; frozen meals; coffee; tuna; pastas and sauces; peanut butter and jelly; toothpaste; shampoos and conditioners; hair care products; skin care products; laundry dete...
