Nurtured Heart Approach to be Discussed at Seminar Next Week

Parents and community members are invited to receive an overview of the innovative parenting technique known as the Nurtured Heart Approach® at a meeting of the Project Sussex Kids General Council, Wednesday, June 20 th , 9:00 a.m.   Participants will also receive an update on Project Sussex Kids activities.   Refreshments will be provided; childcare is available upon request.   Project Self-Sufficiency is located at 127 Mill Street in Newton. The presentation will be facilitated by Christie Farber, Nurtured Heart Approach® Certified Trainer, Family Partners of Morris & Sussex Counties.   The Nurtured Heart Approach® began as a method for treating children labeled as challenging, difficult, or intense, particularly those with diagnoses such as ADHD, Oppositional Defiant Disorder (ODD), Autism, PTSD, Reactive Attachment Disorder (RAD), and Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder.   The techniques are now used successfully in schools, foster-care systems,...
