Free Summer Office Skills Training Program for Women

Free job skills training program for women starts in July. Project Self-Sufficiency will offer a free, 8-week training program for women, including lessons in computer skills, job search methods, and interview techniques, along with on-the-job training at a community work site on Tuesdays and Thursdays, 9:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m., from July 9 th – August 29th.   Open Houses about the Summer Office Skills program will be offered at 10:00 a.m., Mondays, June 3 rd and June 24 th ; at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 19 th and Friday, June 21st; and at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 11 th and Wednesday, June 26 th .   All classes will take place at the agency’s campus which is located at 127 Mill Street in Newton.   Work sites will be located throughout the county and hours will be dependent upon the employer’s needs. Free Summer Program for Young Children

Children ages 5 – 9 are invited to participate in the Sussex County Family Success Center’s annual Project Vacation program, offered Monday, July 31st – Friday, August 4 th , from 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m., at Project Self-Sufficiency.   This year’s Project Vacation “Full STEAM Ahead” will use fun activities, games, crafts and special guest presentations to explore science, technology, engineering, the arts and mathematics.   The program is free and open to the public but space is limited and advance registration is required.   Project Vacation will take place at Project Self-Sufficiency’s Community Education Center, which is located at 127 Mill Street in Newton.   Project Vacation is a program of the Sussex County Family Success Center at Project Self-Sufficiency.   To register, or to find out more information about the summer activities for families at Project Self-Sufficiency, call 973-940-3500 or 844-807-3500.
